Rain Dancing Woes

May 14, 2006 10:28

My profound apologies to all the people in the Boston area.

Last weekend, at elasg’s request, I might add, I did a Rain Dance.

Now, that is not something I generally do, but I was trying to help her fight a fire and I clearly stated that it was to go to HER, not here. The sky was clear, cloudless, and blue. Not an hour later, it clouded over with dark, black clouds and soon it started to rain.

IT HAS NOT STOPPED SINCE THEN! It has poured and poured for a week, flooding streets and towns everywhere in the Boston area. It is now the second wettest May in history (>9 inches this weekend alone) and there is no end in sight. There is now a State of Emergency in Massachusetts.

I don’t know what to do or how to turn it off--but this is ridiculous. If anyone knows how to “undo” a rain dance, please let me know and I will do it.

But I have learned my lesson. Never again do I mess with the mystic arts.

*cringes at my own mystical power*
