Stenger was intent on killing the 12 TriMet employees he blamed for firing him.
Well holy crap. His bail, incidentally, has gone up to $1 million.
According to Demer's (district attorney) affidavit, Stenger sent pictures and videos of automatic weapons to his victims; e-mailed several victims with references to the mass shooting at Columbine High School; advised some to consider buying body armor; and sent other threatening emails. One, to the union president, said "You (expletive) my life over, now I am going to give you back tenfold."
The harassment reportedly began shortly after his termination and may total hundreds of e-mails over the past five years. In one e-mail sent to several of the victims, he wrote "I am still trying to come up with a date for your penalty phase to begin. Hey I picked up this beauty of a gun. It's called a CZ 61. Looks brand new. It's amazing what you can get on the black market here and so cheap. Keep your chins up. I know its (sic) going to get bad for you guys."
Another victim also received a voicemail from someone who seemed to be trying to disguise his voice. The message says, " I've been hired to kill you. You may want to get your affairs in order. Get your wife out of town. You're going to die shortly."
I suppose it's nice to know that the TSA in Hawaii worked, and caught him before he made it here.
