You're usually cold like an airconditioner so I want to turn you to a warmer temperature - Yi Nian
By now, I'm used to Hawick Lau's intense acting. I'm easily offended something like Sealed It With A Kiss. Oddly, I find myself liking Thinking of You, Lu Xiang Bei. The drama has ended and is still being subbed. I've watched the whole episodes without sub and watch the same episode again when the sub version is out. In the drama, Hawick Lau is Lu Xiang Bei, a charismatic top executive who ultimate goal in life is to seek revenge (yeah yeah I know). Following is the point I like this drama. He's deaf. He goes by his day-to-day activities and business deals by lip-reading (*blushes*). He only wears his hearing aid at home and when he's meeting with his mother and close friends. So his deafness supposed to be a secret to others. Until his housekeeper, Tong Yi Nian discovers his secret.
I feel connected to the characters. Many may feel Xiang Bei is miserable and Yi Nian is naive. I like her existence in Xiang Bei's life and her subtle way encouraging him to accept himself. The most memorable scene for me was when they came out from the movie and Xiang Bei is still wearing his hearing aid.
Yi Nian: Aren't you removing your hearing aid?
Xiang Bei: Do you have a problem with that?
Yi Nian: No, I don't mind.
Xiang Bei: Me neither.
