Where to next?

As I finish up this first Monday without classes, I find myself feeling happier and a little tired. My sleep schedule is still not quite right but that can be fixed.

I recently read a book that has inspired me and combined with some wonderful conversations at work, life is feeling terribly hopeful at the moment.

The book is called A Sense of the Read more... )

I like the story of how the author decided to write the book - because he wanted to read something about The Blind Traveler and he couldn't find anything. I always say, if you want something done, you have to do it yourself. lol

Today when I went to the mall, I said, I'm going to dress the body I have. As I have more time and less stress, I'm going to work out and keep doing my best to eat well but I'm beautiful now.

This is great too hear! Do you watch "What Not To Wear"? (if not, you should - it is so fun and you always leave with a good feeling!) Stacey and Clinton like to say, "Don't dress the body you want, dress the body you have." I am so happy to hear you are feeling good about yourself. I've struggled with that myself, but these days I just try to stay healthy and strong and don't worry about the rest. And I love wrap-dresses! I just bought a new shirt online (which I don't usually do, because you never know about sizes) but I went looking for a cami for under a shirt I already have and I came across this stripped top that has this belt and kind of has this wrap-look to it - we'll see how it fits when it gets here.

Yes, I loved the way this book was written and the story around it.

I used to watch What Not to Wear but stopped at some point. Actually a wonderful friend who worked with my mother first told me dress the body you have and I'm trying to remind myself of it. Grad school was hard on my body so I'm working to be gentle with myself as I look for a job.

I actually spotted this dress online and then they had it in the store which made me happy. Since online shopping can be tricky.

I actually didn't like What Not To Wear the first time I saw it, because I got so upset they were throwing out all this woman's rock tees. But it grew on me and now I can't live without it. I'm sure it is no shock, but the shoe shopping is my favorite part!

The online clothes came and they all look great, but the scoop-necks keep showing my bra straps. The lacey top with the belt turned out to be the best purchase of the whole deal and I almost didn't even get it!
