But I think I'm gonna leave this version of the timeline here. For posterity. (and so we can all laugh at ourselves over how wrong wrong wrong ( Read more... )

Wow, that was quite amazing. Must've taken a hell of a long time to write. o: I applaud your efforts. /claps

Also, if you're confused about the Sabrie/Sablier spelling, it's Sablier. It means hourglass in French. /o/
Also Liam -> Reim, but I'm sure people are tired of me pointing that out already so I'll shut up about it. 8D;

Oh, and here's one of the omake pages, and here's the translation~

(Translation issue - will be dead or already dead?)
Personally, I read it as will be dead, and it also makes more sense to me that way... But apparently I'm the only one who translated it that way. /shrugs

omg THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU *squeals*

It makes more sense as 'will die', right? All of this 'Gilbert was already dead!' stuff doesn't really make sense since he wasn't dead. Either Alice was lying, which is totally possible, or it's a translation issue. Either way, this one thing could massively change how people think about the chronology of Sablier.

Even in her little speech, it makes more sense to say that Gil will die because Glen chose him for his next body. And then Miranda Barma was able to get him to open the Door because Vincent thought that he could save Gilbert from dying by messing up the ceremony before it even started.

Exactly. The only way "died" would work is if Alice was lying, and it's possible, but it feels so contrived and un-Mochizuki. The story's confusing, but she wouldn't throw us something like that.
Although when Vincent arrived in the Abyss, it certainly looked like Gil was dead... Or just unconscious.

I'm more likely to go with unconscious, makes things far less complicated. XD

I'm just a random person, but do you, by chance, have the rest of those pages, too?

I'm not 100% sure I'm allowed to share these since i don't know their origin, but...
Here's the other four. c:

Haha, my internet was off for about three and a half weeks, so I had a lot of time on my hands. orz

Now, that is interesting! I've been waffling about the Sabrie/Sablier thing, so I just put in both. XD But it means hourglass? Cool.

Will edit that in!

...I should really put in the correct spelling of his name, huh? On the one hand, there's canon. On the other, most people in PH fandom probably recognize him as Liam. And the fact that I really like the name Liam has no bearing on this at all. Really. Um.

Okay. Sabrie is Sablier and I'll see about the Liam/Reim thing. Maybe we can reach a fandom consensus. XD

Mmm, I'm just really OCD about official name spellings. Like, to an unhealthy extent. xD;
Liam and Reim aren't even pronounced the same, how the hell did the original translator get Liam out of レイム, it doesn't even make sense, why do I care about it so much when it doesn't matter really, but I'm so OCD about it that I can't eve read fics with Reim's name spelled as Liam, etc etc.
/shot 10 times over

XD If it helps, I'm the same way with Leo's name. It just makes sense that his name is Leo, Reo isn't even a real name...

This makes me liking 'Liam' massively hypocritical, I know. orz
