Canterbury Faire
Ah, it's good to be back! I had an awesome faire, it was great to be able to catch up with everyone, and have such a comfy household to come back to! Wasn't bored for a minute (lazy and tired don't count!) and all my plans to go to A&S classes failed miserably. Not to worry, lots of horsing was done, and got to let lots of others on the horses too which is brilliant.
Also got to shoot my bow (yay it still works) which is great - and I haven't forgotten everything! Even got to shoot some heavies which is very satisfying. Although it does amuse me that in both the greek shoot and the heavy shoot I got my target in the groin, thus winning the first rounds. LOL!
Didn't get my sword out which is unfortunate, but the only time I heard steel fighting called it was just the time Rob and I decided to jump the fence for a knife fight which was quite likely way more fun. Again, well pleased that I wasn't completely hopeless!
Really felt like I was back at home, and in a completely other world which was really neat.
Now I'm home, and instead of hating it, it's actually really good so far! So many people to catch up with, already have a few people lined up to visit, and the phone's been going too - something I usually try and avoid! Lots of stuff to sort out as well from parcels i've sent back to myself....plenty to do!
