Sequels - Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
I don’t tend to write sequels to my fics. Mainly because once I’ve finished an idea, I’m usually moving on to the next one, and while there’s plenty of fic universes that I’d love to revisit, I honestly just don’t have the time to play in them more than once.
That said, there’s always exceptions. One of my first multipart stories in the ER fandom (Consequences) got a sequel (Always on my mind). Technically it was more like two sequels, but rather than have to go to the trouble of thinking up a new name (see day 17!), I just added a few more chapters to the original story.
And then (also in the ER fandom) was my ‘Waiting’ series of stories a.k.a. my Dave/Luka slash saga which started out as a single fic and then sparked half a dozen sequels. I had planned on several more instalments, but then I lost interest in the fandom.
