In my time in art school, I discovered the trick to unpretentious art-speak.

The trick is that Art = Wanking. Do not hold it up to be more under any circumstances and you can unpretentiously discuss its presence, impact and resultant behaviors without being that person you hate.

In 4 years towards earning my degree toiling at the question "what is art?" that is what I came up with and by Jove I am sticking to it!
