"bag full of thoughts"
so today i run up to the door of school
stand there and wait for someone to come in view
i see billy and pound on the door and scare him to death and he lets me in
i ask has the bell rung
he says yes a few minutes ago
so i begin walking dejectedly towards the attendance office, knowing i only have one more tardy left before iss
then the fucking bell rings
so yeah whata bitch. i could have been on time. so i go to the attendance office. robin takes me and writes an unexcused. i go to mr anderson and he's like what happened. in the morning i'm especially prone to tears but i'm trying so hard to keep them back. it's fucking elementary school all over again. but then again, elementary school was a fuckload better than middle school so i guess thats ok. so anyways here i am on the verge of tears liek always. i'm like someoen told me that the bell had rung when it hadn't. and then i'm lke ugh i was on time. and he says you were on time? and i say yeah and he hands me the pass and i walk away and say detention tomorrow? and he says no. so i dunno maybe he didnt' enter it into the computer. not sure how else i would not have detention. no need to change the pass in that case cuz the teacher dont care.
go to graphic arts. today is cofo telling you waht to study for the final day but before he goes into the very detailed description to the first years i get him to give me a knife so i can occupy myself with finishing my stencil. then after all that i stretch the screen over the frame. at the same time sam shew is doing his. yeah used nate's desk he didn't care he was printing. so then eoct and that's a weird test. i dont like it. whatever. more on friday. then chemistry and such. got my ap book. gah it's big. and mr winterscheidt made a diet pepsi fountain like ten feet high. it was pretty awesome. we're gonna do that this summer if i remember. then lunch and food and such.
then after that i head out and down to the cvs to turn in cameras. took a while to explain to the lady why i wans't in school. she finally got it. then decatur cd where i listened to past recommends for a while. some cool stuff on there. then look around a while. in a used bin something jumps out at me: the flaming lips - finally the punk rockers are taking ACID 3 cd set. so for about a half an hour i listen to bits of that and read the entire booklet. it was very interesting. so i got him to reserve it for me so i could think about it. headed back to school. a little early so i went to look for my phone in my car. wan'st there. then went and found ppl after the bell rang behind a small tree smoking cigarettes where they congregate and then head off to wherever. i went to the square for a while with people. then headed to java monkey with kurt and will where other people were. and eliot came up then. and we sat a while and talked and such. and then lauren and company dropped by to pick up will but there was a misunderstanding and eliot and i did not end up in the car. so we stayed a bit longer and then headed back to decatur cd where i bought the cds. then we went to his house to listen to part of it and then i drove him to emory.
and i'm annoyed cuz my nose is stuffy today. drank two mugs of echinacea tea earlier. hopefully it'll help.
it is a very cool cd to listen to i think. it's a 3 disc set combining their first ep and their first three lps, hear it is, oh my gawd, and telepathic surgery plus plenty of bonus tracks to fill it ou t. it covers the years like 1983 through '88 or '89. awesome to go back and hear where the flaming lips came from. and the sheer volume of stuff is just so cool to me. i'm happy with my purchase. it was 24 dollars, or 8 dollars a cd and has liek 56 songs in all. some of them quite long. i think from here i'll eventually work my way forward through the years even though i've heard a lot of their later stuff. yum yum the flaming lips rock and there's so much to discover. i love when there are so many cds of a good band cuz there are so many to listen to so you get to discover tehm anew for a very long time. although sometimes it gets hard to decide what to listen to. but oh well. we've got to get a playing of zaireeka sometime.......
