i'd have to say that nine inch nails is definitely in that category of bands which i like despite a general non-liking for the genre they inhabit. i like them. also.......i was thinking, and i decided that you don't have to agree with music to like it. that would be pointless. the idea is not to like music that you agree with but to like the music and appreciate the differences or similarities in opinions you and it may have. just like it's not likely that you'll agree with everything all of your friends think, it's not necessary for you to agree with your music as long as you can appreciate the differences.
so today was pretty much same as every day. i've stopped bothering trying to get janet and sam to stay for band practice. i still continue to have much more liking for janet though. oh well. she loaned me her drill sheets today just before she left since i didn't have mine. *sigh* i hate their parents for making them do things they hate and hurting the entire band in the process. whatever. and then i almost missed the midtown stop on marta cuz i was reading harry potter. but i didn't. and math was quite allright. friendlier by the day? well maybe not by the day. i dunno i like it. and it's so nice to just get out of that high school. and then square and NOBODY was there for once how weird. but eliot came after a few minutes just as i was reading the last paragraph of harry potter. so i sat with him for a while and then people came. they'd been at oz. and funness for a while and actually i was mostly doing mmy homework cept when jack was drawing a picture in my math notebook. then i went to choir for the first time this season. and eliot did hw downstairs. and then we went to decatur cd and i finally got around to getting nine inch nails (the old one) and then was trivia which has kinda been goign downhill again so trevor, eliot, and i left early and trevor spent a while trying to get certain music on his computer and then put some on eliots' ipod and then the night was basically over. and yay i got to see trevor. happiness.
oh but it's really really funny like i guess y'all know the normal nin industrial type sound. and there's this one song that mostly consists of that (but with variations of course as nin are wont to do) but then like for a few bars at the middle and at the end he completely randomly breaks down into like piano and voice saying "doesn't it make you feel better?" and i swear he sounds EXACTLY like ben folds. like both the piano and the voice. it's kinda hilarious.
today waas a happy day.
music,
the square
