I love doing these things, they're so much fun. This one comes from meme queen
sess_satan Comment on this post and I will choose seven interests from your profile. You will then explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.
1. Anita Blake
What It Means: The trashy vampire books series written by Laurell K. Hamilton.
Why I'm Interested: I adore books, but I also have a silly soft spot for lowbrow, easy-to-read trash, especially the vampire genre. The Anita Blake series - the first 8 I've read so far - are the very epitome of that. They're fun, tightly plotted and easy to read. The series apparently gets really trashy and full of badly written sex after book 10 so I don't think I'll make it that far.
2. Scotland
What It Means: My home country!
Why I'm Interested: It's a pretty natrual thing amongst the Scots so be very patriotic. I'm not a nutcase who watches Braveheart on a daily basis (I despise that film) but I am very proud of my roots. I'm also in love with my own accent, it's my favourite thing about myself.
3. Tom Felton
What It Means: The actor who plays Malfoy in the Harry Potter films.
Why I'm Interested: Erm, he's cute. He's the only young actor in the Harry Potter series, as well as Rupert Grint, who plays their character as I imagined them to be. Draco is my favourite HP character.
4. Futurama
What It Means: The Matt Groening cartoon.
Why I'm Interested: In terms of jokes to episode ratio, Futurama is funnier than The Simpsons. I love the constant sci-fi references, the sight gags, the well written characters, the film in jokes and everything about this show. I could watch it over and over again and never get sick of it.
5. Tony Slattery
What It Means: The WLiiA regular.
Why I'm Interested: He's a total sweetie, like a naughty schoolboy with a cheeky grin and a filthy sense of humour. I can go into hysterics just by remembering his Star Trek remote control impression. It gets me every time. He's my other favourite Britline comedian.
6. Pushing Daisies
What It Means: The TV show.
Why I'm Interested: Pushing Daisies is pure candy-floss in television form. There's only been one series but it was my favourite thing on TV during it's run. It's like a technicolour dream complete with whimsy, romance and comedy. I'm so cynical in real life so by rights, the show should sicken me but it does the total opposite! Can't wait for series 2.
7. Kate Winslet
What It Means: The British actress and 5 time Oscar nominee.
Why I'm Interested: She's my favourite actress and a complete icon to me. She's beautiful, down-to-earth and one of the best actresses working today. She's in my favourite film Quills and is nothing short of amazing in every film she's in. If I could be anyone on earth I'd be Miss Winslet.
