A bunch of stuff, exciting and otherwise, has happened this week so I thought I'd dump it all into one LJ post for my convenience.
On Tuesday I went through to Edinburgh for the day to meet up with Nat and a bunch of people from the same net forum I met him on for the official Scottish meet up. I was expecting it to be a horribly awkward affair that would be over in a couple of hours but we ended up having so much fun that I had to stay at Nat's flat for the night as it went on so late. I love Nat to pieces but fuck, that couch was not comfortable. The next day the heavens opened and I had to take two buses to get home so partnered with my travel sickness, lack of food and general fatigue, I was soaked to the skin and freezing. Huzzah for the Scottish summer. We did have a nice one for about a fortnight which was nice but in typical fashion I moaned about the heat. I am never satisfied with the weather. It's a gift.
So random stuff now:
My dog Ozzy in his jacket. He loathes wearing the thing but it keeps him warm in this horrible weather.
The lovely, amazing, perfect and ever so kind
anneloes4 bought me Night Work, the latest Scissor Sisters album, for my birthday and I recommend you all go out and buy it. It's fantastic and completely worth the wait. Here are some YouTube links to some songs from the albums.

I am currently halfway through book 5 for the Sparkle Project (guess which one won the vote?) and I don't want to spoil anything for the actual write up but man... I can see why people were so enthusiastic about me reading this book.
I'll leave it there for now. I am not sure when part 5 of the Project will be up because I'm going to the cinema tomorrow to see Inception with my gran. I can say it won't be later than next week, then I'll move onto part 6, Shiver. If nothing else, this entire project did give me the motivation to start writing my own book which is 10000 words long right now and packed full of in jokes, snarking, scheming horses, Disney jokes and a fairy godfather named Steve! Suck it sparkledick!
