Originally uploaded by Zetarose We've had a couple of fun days. Yesterday was rainy so we decided to take off and go to Wonderlab. Ceilidh loves Wonderlab so much. There is just so much to see and do. Usually her favorite thing to do is play in the water area but this time she wanted to spend a lot of time playing with the magnets, and up in the club houses. She's usually a little leary of the stairs and needs help to climb to the top of the clubhouses to play but not this time. She just took off and climbed right up all by herself. We don't have stairs in our house at home so she doesn't get much opportunity to practice but I've been making a concerted effort to slow down when we come and go from the house and let her try the step down to leave or step up to enter on her own. The practice obviously paid off because she was eager to try the stairs in the clubhouse on her own. Once she did it once successfully that was all it took. Her confidence shot up and she couldn't get enough of climbing up and down, into and out of the clubhouse. I wish I had gotten a good video of it but it was all I could do to keep up. She may have gained her confidence but I was still feeling a little nervous.
Today was nice and sunny so after her papa came home for lunch and after her great gramps came to visit I decided to take her out to play. Since it was nice and hot out I thought we'd try the sprinkler again. She's been a little afraid of the sprinkler partly because the hose sometimes makes a funny nose, and partly just because its something new. Today though she seemed to really get into it. she had a lot of fun running her hands through the water and making mud pies. I was little sorry when it came time to go in though as she was covered in mud from head to toe. It was worth it though. She loves playing outside so much. She had a blast.
Here's a little video of Ceilidh that I took yesterday. Before going to Wonderlab, Ceilidh's Grammie took us out to lunch at Cracker Barrel. Ceilidh is really starting to get into coloring. She loves to get her hands on pens, pencils, crayons or chalk. Anything that she can write/draw/make marks with.
