Originally uploaded by ZetaroseHad to go back to Bloomington for a blood pressure check at my doctor's office today so my time with Ceilidh was limited. It appears that my high blood pressure was pregnancy related,but they had said before that even if that was the case that it still might not be the reason Ceilidh was born premature. However it does give them an idea of something to pay attention to and watch in future pregnancies. Ceilidh seemed to be doing well today and was up to 4 pounds 1 ounce. She's still in the isolette however. Her nurse today said the doctors wanted to wait until after the weekend to move her to the bassinet as to not over stress her considering she just went on the nasal cannula recently. She can wear her little clothes though as they wean down her temperature settings on the Isolette in preparation. She looks so cute in her little pink bonnet. Breast feeding attempts today were not as successful as they were the past couple of days. I think we wore her out yesterday with all of our antics because she was very sleepy today and would hardly wake up to try. She did wake up for a little while between feedings. The second time we tried breastfeeding today went a little better than the first attempt and she got in a few good tries. It's just going to take some practice. We'll get there. :)
