Best Valentine's Day EVER!

Thats right.
Yesterday was my very best Valentine's day on record.
The morning was spent hiking to the market to get groceries because there is on gym at my parents house, so I walked to the furthest market within walking distance, bought hella groceries, and then hiked back carrying the goodies. It was a fun workout, and I actually got to look around and see my old neighborhood rather than speeding through it on my way too or from the parentals unit. It totally reminded me of being like, 17, and walking to the bus stop everyday to go to College of Marin...and it reminded me of, despite some particularly heinous events that happened during that time period, that there were some really really good times on the side streets in San Anselmo.

After that, I went to Novato to hit up Old Navy and look at their cute St. Patricks Day Yoga Pants. Well, I've lost weight, but not enough to justify wearing white yoga pants with "I (*shamrock) You" on the ass. Maybe next year if I've got the abs of britney (*prebaby) and ass of J-Lo I can see if they're on sale or something. But I did find a very fun sweater at Ross for $3.50. Goodtimes.

After a quick powernap and an EXCELLENT sandwich at subway (*Blew half my fat grams in one meal. YES!) I picked up Vicki for her last night in California. We went to S.F. and got rush tickets for 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. We then had 2 hours to kill in Union Square, so we went to the new H&M (of course) and walked around and had dinner at this nice Italian place (*I cheated. Pasta had Olive Oil which assuredly pushed me way way way beyond my daily allowance right now, but its okay because it was Vicki's last night and she was my Valentine :D )

Then we saw the show. Hilarious! Absolutely one of my new favorite shows *even though it already was based on teh soundtrack* But honestly, it made up for the absolute waste of money on Lestat and the 2nd round of touring for Little Shop. By far some of the best $25 I have ever spent. You can tell this is one of those shows that is never the same two nights in a row, and a lot of changes were made to suit a SF audience, which made me real real happy. Some of my favorite parts included:

girl: whispering under breath "Jesus, couldn't you give me a harder word than that?"

*from balcony* jesus: Yes my child, is that what you wish?

girl: JESUS?! Is that you?! (*pause) HA! I KNEW you were Asian!

another favorite part is in the end they say what happened to all the kids, and one of the girls who has 2 dads and was the president of the Gay STraight ALliance at her grammar school stands up and says "...And served as secretary of state for future president Gavin Newsom!"
much appluase, as you can imagine.

Overall the show was just spectacular. Didn't stop laughing the entire time. And had a great great time with Vicki on her last night in California...shes probably over Chicago or maybe even in NY by now. I think it was good for us to do something like this on her last night, because neither of us cried, even though I think we were tempted to. This will be the longest stretch we've gone without seeing eachother since we met like 8 years ago. But I'm super proud of her and excited that shes taking this opportunity.

And for all of these reasons, this was the best Valentines day ever.
