Postmortem Intellectual Theft

Seriously, Paul Tillich. I know you're brilliant and controversial and all, but I wanted to tell you it's really bad form to steal the title I had all picked out for my book. Even if you have been dead for several decades and wrote the book when my mother was in diapers. It was MY title, and I thought it was rather ingenious, and now I have to go right back to the drawing board and find something else brilliant that is probably already taken as well.

Sometimes I think that when the library in Alexandria burned down, thousands of Egyptian scribes breathed a sigh of relief. "Whew!" they told their wives, "Now I can finally ink that manuscript that I've been planning for years....no one will remember that it shares a title with some obscure moldly parchment written a hundred years ago."
