Confused
Pagan, what does it mean? 1. Nature based Religion.
2. movement devoted to nature, worship, polytheism,
Goddess worship ancient tribal religions.
3. a generic term for anyone who practiced an earth or nature religion.
Honestly, what it is that weirds people out regarding this, I don't know. What I do know is that paganism, has allowed me to see things I hadn't previously. I realized, that as much as it can suck being single, it is regardless to why I remain a nice guy, everyone, and everything has feelings. All people bleed red blood, regardless of religion. Why people think paganism, or Wicca, is devilworshipping is beyond me, well it's not really I just don't feel like trying to explain it all the time, and the truth is that people fear what they don't understand, it's part of human nature, however so it curiousity. Still people, rather then taking the time to begin to grasp the nature, of what paganism is they, decide to ridicule it.
I am a pagan. It is me, noone will ever change that. I am not a "Bible-Basher", however I will use Biblical scriptures, when explaining some aspects if needed. People have always said, that I have a knack for talking, this I know very well. I am easy to get along with, and can be a good friend. Women, that I meet, confide in me, as I can be trusting and inciteful. This is referred to as empathy. A term that is sometimes used when talkin of paganism. Pagans, are receptive of the natural energies, in the world. People, trees, animals, everything has an energy. I believe that this empathy, and receptiveness allows me to understand, or get a feeling of how people truly feel. Many people, I know will vouch, that they feel that we've known each other longer then we have, or that I am someone that is easy to open up to. That's simply because I listen, I respond, and I feel.
When I've told people of my belief, they thinks it's hishposh, or I'm going to hell, or that I'm some crazy loon. However, not moments before, I was a normal person.
To those that think I'm some kind of loon, or are weirded out.... How bout kissing my white ass, because until you understand it, don't fuckin look down on me for it.
Now, I know that was a little out of line for me, to say, but I do not mean any offense, but I have lost good friends, or people who I thought were good friends, once they were told.
