The sun was slowly setting in the west across the plain. Almost as if it was struggling to still get light out, it was a dim red glow behind a cover of swiftly moving grey clouds. Everything was basked in a dark red hue as the sun struggled down past the tallest mountains in the westward horizon, almost as if the air was saturated with blood. There was an uncanny silence about, the only sounds being made by the wind, shoving it's way across the plain with a whispering of moisture, hinting at a coming shower. The little remaining light cast long shadows on the ground, of trees, bushes and animals; dark shadows that were hard to distinguish in the twilight. They twisted about, where light failed to describe the shadow's true form imagination stepped in, creating nightmare creatures of darkness all about.
Couldn't sleep..tried, ended up thinking about this. Maybe now that i posted it i can sleep.
