WICKED!!!!!!

I finally saw Wicked the musical tonight!!!!
For those of you that don't know, Wicked is a stage play that takes place as a prequel/side story to the Wizard of Oz. It tells the story of how the Wicked Witches and Good Witch came to be.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

The show started at 8pm and we left the house at 5.30, wanting to grab dinner first. But man, we got out to the city around 6 and it took us a good 45 minutes to find parking! We were stuck in the car park so I had to go find an attendee to let us out because I refuse to pay $8 for parking when all we did was spend 30 minutes driving around looking for parking in a FULL CARPARK!

We went to have a quick dinner, ordered ate and paid in 30 minutes flat XD
Such a shame, I was hoping to have sukiyaki >.<

Once we got to the show, we bought a pamphlet and took our seats. The fact that theater's size was almost identical to Burimyu's was scary. I kept looking around the place and for a few brief moments, I felt like I was back. I was almost expecting a Bleach character to come on over the speakers... but of course I just kept getting flashbacks of that first night, which of course would be most memorable...
"Dear audience, welcome to Rock Musical Bleach, the live Bankai Show Code: 003. This is the 3rd Division Captain, Ichimaru Gin."

;_______; Darn it, Gin!
Anyway...

Flicking through the pamphlet, I saw a familiar face and my eyes went wide; Tim Campbell?
Now I don't like saying this, but I've been following the Australian soap Home and Away for YEARS now and there have only ever been two characters I actually liked. Detective Peter Baker played with Nicholas Bishop, and the Peter's young brother Dan Baker, played by Tim Campbell. Seriously, only characters I've ever liked. I cried INSANELY when Peter died, but then he came back through the magic of witness protection. By the time Dan's character got killed off I was sort of over the show though, when Peter left, the show was dead to me |D;;
Still wasn't happy Dan died. I totally loved him.

So yeah, that's my story. I basically sat there fangirling Burimyu style, thinking this was very much like Burimyu again, because there was an actor I'd fangirl over on stage XD
And that I did by the way. Every time he came out in a new costume or was on stage at all I was mentally molesting him.

MOVING ON.

It was a lovely and heartbreaking side story the sort of makes you pity and care about the characters you thought were the antagonists, and creates this grudge for the characters you thought were the good guys.

I mean the Scarecrow (OMFGTIMCAMPBELL) and the Wicked Witch = new OTP? Who would've thought!!! Oz being her father at that, hahaha!!!

I don't know if I like the Tinman more now or not. I mean Boq was just so cute, blinded by this worship of Glinda that he had, but still. He had a good heart (until they literally destroyed it). But nevertheless, my favourite thing about this show was definitely how we saw the origins of each of Dorothy's companions, even though they weren't quite who we thought they were! I mean when Boq became the Tinman... that was just... WOOOAAHH. So of course you figure the other two have to be introduced in a similar fashion.

Oh Fyiero~ ♥
I couldn't decide whether he was the Scarecrow or the Lion because it did not occur to me at all that the cub would be the lion |D;;
I did pick up on what was happening to Boq when the sister started casting that spell on him; at that point I realised he was wearing all silver. *shudder* Oh Bleach... how you torment me still.

There was that scene where everyone is plotting to kill the witch and the Tinman is just so sinister!!! But he was goddarn hot while doing so. He says something like "For once I'm glad I'm heartless for I will be heartless when killing her!" and I thought- THE TINMAN WAS NEVER THAT MEAN!!! But darn he was hot while doing it...

Galinda was just.... guuhh I wanted to slap her, ALL THE TIME. Though she was very funny, just one of those "Popu~lar" kids I guess.

I loved how at the end, everyone is coming out, taking their bows and two of the animal characters take off their masks and people just cheeer; they were HOT. *shot* I need to stop checking all these guys out.
Anyway, I overheard some other people mention that they didn't realise Tim Campbell was in this, and when he came out there was lot of "WOOO"ing (including some from me) and he just bowed and looked really surprised "like woah, what a reaction, why thank you~" and smiled at everyone~
I have no clue how I've walked past his poster so many times and not realised it was him.

During the intermission, I bought the "Ozmoploitan" (or something like that) because it seemed so funky! It had a little alcohol in it and I wasn't supposed to be drinking though... oh well, it was only a little! Haha! The cup lights up!!!
It was basically a green slushie 8D But with alcohol.

Overall it was a brilliant show and I'm debating going again. Unlike with Burimyu, there'll be no DVD, which is a goddarn shame. But even with Burimyu I went several seven times. I don't know if I can afford to go see it again, but it was a wonderful show that I'd love to experience once more. We'll see, we'll see. Nevertheless, I'm really glad I saw it at least once.

burimyu, reality, photos, days out
