Gotta give a shout out for my alma mater!
WOOHOO! I'm still in a fog, can't believe it really happened, so proud of the young University of Florida Gator basketball team! I'm amazed that they stepped up to the plate (oops, wrong sport) and put a serious WAXING on the UCLA Bruins last night for the 2006 NCAA National Basketball Championship. Who can argue with their heart, hunger and bad-ass TALENT now?
And, now... for Mr. Dick Vitale, who went insane this year but who also gave up on the Rowdy Reptiles too many years ago, I have a message:
"It's a TEAM, BAAAYYYYBEEEEE!!! The Orange and Blue, BAYBEE! That's what *I'm* talkin' about! Just as I have been saying allllll year, the Gators are not a bunch of superstars... they are a TEAM! A different star almost every game. Billy Donovan knows how to make the adjustments at halftime, mmm-kay? Now go choke on your oatmeal, ya old bastard!"
Oh, yeah... in all fairness, he did have a side of crow with his oatmeal this morning. :-)
