[Knitting Geekage] Frustration

Sep 27, 2006 13:30

I've been working on a sweater lately (more details on that later) - I've reached the part where I'm knitting the yoke - with all pieces on the needle. At this point I have close to 300 stitches on the needle. And I just found out that I forgot one of the decreases on the back. Argh! I know it's only a few rows down & normally - if I was knitting the back seperately - I'd just rip back & fix it (because, yes, I am that OCD). But to do that on this sweater would mean ripping back THOUSANDS of stitches & take me HOURS & I can't imagine 1 stitch is even going to make that much of a difference. Even though I decreased on one side & not the other. I can't even tell by looking at the edges of the back exactly where it is. But it's bugging me. That stupid 1 stich is really BUGGING me.

Somebody please smack me upside the head & tell me 1 stitch is really not worth hours to fix (especially if I want the sweater finished before my trip to Europe next week).
