New baby!
On April 18 at 7pm Braxton Bennett was born! :) He was 7lbs 1 ounce.
Well the day started at 7:45am when we got the hospital for an induction. Crystal's blood pressure has been high the last few weeks and the doctor wanted her to get induced as soon as possible so that could get taken care of (I bet she would have gone for another week or longer if they had not induced her).
So, anyway, they started the induction with some gel and we walked around for a couple hours. After that didn't do much, they did the same thing with some more gel. We walked around for another couple of hours. Then, around 12:30 they broke her water. Still, nothing of real significance happened. At 1:30 they gave her some IV pitocin which started some good contractions.
This was the hard part *_* The contractions were getting very strong (pitocin makes contractions really bad) and there wasn't much we could do. She did not progress very much in 4 hours. We decided that she needed to relax, so she asked for an epidural. In less than an hour after the epidural she was ready to push. Crystal pushed for 45 minutes, and Braxton was born!
Where does Braxton come from? We're not sure...we just decided it sounded good right after he came out! ^^;; When he came out he had the cord wrapped around his neck and there was a true knot in the cord. Very scary! Everything turned out just fine, though!
Later on I was able to give him his first bath, which was very cool! :)
Now we're parents...SCARY!
