Yesterday's sortie was one of the best I ever had. Was overflying Perth International Airport at about 4pm in the afternoon, when I was told to head 350 to overfly north of threshold runway 21 for separation. From 4000 feet above, I could see a Boeing 777 lining up at the threshold. Hang on, it has a white fuselage with blue tail! Its SQ226 taking off! It's damn nice to see it take off from that altitude, and to hear the familar Singlish accent speaking from the 777 cockpit made me smile indulgently. And to be on a cessna flying above a 777, it's simply shiok!
