Hey, my dd and I are going to be attending a knitting group at our church, where a bunch of experienced knitters are going to teach us. I have never knit before, although I crocheted when I was a kid.
Anyway, any ideas for what would be good for a six year old to do for beginning knitting? What size needles should I get? Is this a realistic activity for a six year old at all? She's really excited.
And what kind of stuff should I start with? A scarf maybe? Is there an easy one out there that I could make pretty quickly in order to get me, um, er, "hooked"? (I know, needles would make a better joke, but that's all I could come up with.)
TIA!
