Michael Bay should give up transformers and do Green lantern

I was watching this video that pretty much sums up every Michael Bay Video in existence, and I got to thinking, doesn Green Lantern follow this exact line of thinking? I mean honestly, if Michael Bay had made Green Lantern instead of Transformers, both movies would have been much better. We have a young Male Protagonist in Hal Jordan, the Earth is threatened by Paralax, and we have the hot female actress in Carol Farris. That's a perfect set up for a Michael Bay movie.
Later down the line, the Military gets in evolved, namely the Green Lantern Corp. Sure they are more like a police force, but they do come across as a military orginization, determines to save the Universe.
The Love scene that could have been between Hal and Carol could have worked out. It could have even set up Carol Farris to become Star Sapphire.
And we all know how much Bay loves special effects and CGI. He would have had a field day with the Lantern rings and constructs they all make.
In all I think the Green Lantern movie would have been great for Michael Bay, and would have make money with his name attached to it. So why does he keep ass raping my childhood with these horrid Transformers movies that aren't about the Transformers?
