Your 2010's message to yourself was like, several levels of pathetic you know. So cheesey and sappy and sad. You know, the fact you can say that about it means that at least, that's one thing you're over.
2011 was a really difficult year for you, with the deal with your siblings and family in general getting worse. With working towards graduating. With trying to figure out what to do next. With turning twenty. You've gotten meaner these days too. Maybe it's the stress, or maybe the people who called you a heartless bitch, were right. Who knows? Doesn't matter.
Because even throughout all that, you still have friends who care for you, even if at this moment, I'm not sure why exactly.
How is it with history? Do you still love it with all your heart? Do you remember why you spent seven years of your life studying it seriously? What do you want to do with it now, do you know yet? Remember that no matter what they say, history had been your love since you were a little kid with your picture books, so don't let anyone get you down. Don't let them get to you when they tell you it's a pointless subject and that you wasted your time, because you didn't.
By the way, the icon I used for this comment is Shion. As in Aries Shion from Saint Seiya, not Ebi's Shion. And while this would sound sad because he's a fictional character, I hope, that in the context of the previous paragraph, you still understand what that means. What that meant for you in 2011 and why Shion was just that special to you at the time this comment was being written.
Oh, but you know when you were fifteen and you wanted a friendship Shion had with Dohko? In 2011, you truly had that. I hope, in 2012, you still do.
Anyway, here's what I want you to do in 2012:
- I don't want you to regret anymore. What you've done, you can't undo. I want you to just keep on moving forward.
- I don't want you to ever blame others, ever. I want you to reflect on what you could do better, but don't ever you let that drown you.
- Maybe you should try being nicer in 2012...
- I hope your English is better so you can write nicer and cause a lot less misunderstanding and awkward moments.
- And as silly as this sound, I want you to be able to really say that you deserve to be likened to Degel. Brave, with dreams, hardworking - but always caring and honoring your promises to your friends, living every moment like it's your last.
If you're not, by the end of the 2012, continue on to 2013. You're not perfect. You never will be, but that isn't any reason to give up, to not give it your hardest and to not be happy with yourself.
I don't think 2012 would be easy, oh no, not with how you'd be graduating and having to really figure out what to do next. I hope by the time you read this again, you're clearer on that. Also, I want to know how Ina is. I hope she's okay. Is she studying in university now? How's mum?
