Remember the last time you breathed? Yeah, then. Do it again, now.
What happened in 2010, self? Your grades kept slipping even though things were working pretty well at the beginning. Stop screwing up on the assignments that actually matter - like the ones worth 15% or more of your final grade. I thought by fourth year, you'd have grasped the way professors think when they make up tests and grasped the way they mark; apparently not? How slow can you be, self. You could've avoided this issue altogether if you've bothered a little more.
But you know what, there's only a semester left anyway, so take what you get and let's just get out of here. Even though you won't graduate with (high) distinction, your diploma is just around the corner, and hopefully by the time convocation rolls around, you'll have found a proper job that's not at the physiotherapy clinic anymore. If you haven't, KEEP SEARCHING, APPLYING, AND HOPEFULLY GETTING INTERVIEWED. Because practice makes perfect, and never get discouraged if they don't hire you. It just means you've got more things to brush up on, and that's a good thing too.
And anyway, grades are overrated. You've got skills that let you survive in the rest of the world. It's only a matter of finding a career that plays to your strengths and interests.
Now, my fingers, you know you want to co-operate, especially when I'm learning those piano concertos by Rachmaninov and Chopin. They're hard, yes, but they're challenges that I adore. Think of how many hours professional pianists need to practise before they go on stage to perform to a hall full of people. Think of the PRESSURE. You're lucky you're playing these masterpieces at all.
Brush up on Rach2 while you're at it too; the first movement is utterly unpresentable, and learn the rest of the third movement so you can play it up to speed. If possible, memorize everything so you can make a proper recording.
And for god's sake, get that Beethoven sonata book you said you were going to get since ages ago. Haven't you always wanted to learn Waldstein?
Look at the animanga piling up on your external. You need to clean out your laptop's HD too, it's causing the computer to run ridiculously slowly. Watch those series you've downloaded, listen to the music that you've got, read the manga/BL that you've swiped. Everything else? Delete them.
Stop procrastinating, although I know you probably can't shake off this habit any time soon. If anything, at least sleep earlier so you're not staying up until 1/2AM and then living off of 5-6 hours of sleep the next day. It's bad, and it's not going to help your kidneys or liver. We're aiming for even less/smaller kidney stones next year, okay? Don't ever let it go the opposite direction.
Finally, if it's not important, let go of it. If it is, then do everything in your power to make sure it stays that way. You know what I'm talking about.
Love,
Your criticizing self
