Day Six: [Thursday 18th December]
1. Going to the city when it's sunny (WHICH IT IS TODAY OMGWTFBBQ) and Christmassy. Puts me in an awesome mood.
2. Not checking the flist in 24 hours and having to go back 220 entries. Hee. Bless you guys.
3. Eating raw gingerbread dough and feeling kind of queasy afterwards, but in that delightful "I know that was bad for me but damn, it was fun!" kind of way.

Went to this incredible exhibition today called
Setting The Screen. It was about film production design - I don't know if that's when people roll their eyes, but I love that kind of thing [/nerd]. It had production models and sketches from so many things: Jacques Tati and Ingmar Bergman films, The Matrix, The Shining (you know they designed the whole maze for that but only built a quarter of it?), The Terminal (omg, their airport terminal model was awesome) and then the entire second half was dedicated to Australia. Eeeeee! The models of Faraway Downs and Darwin, sketches, heaps of videos (that will no doubt turn up on the DVD)... and then the actual portion of the sound stage of Sarah Ashley's living room, which was awesome to see in real life. aksjshdjksj.
Alice Keys. Was amazing. I haven't been a hardcore fan - I like and respect what she does but it's not like I've bought her albums - but now I want to be, hee! Seats were awesome: front row of the stands, dead-centre. And it was packed out as expected; apparently it sold out in two hours. I almost feel guilty that I got to go.
Ooh, Ryan Shelton is going to be on the Nova's new drive program next year. In direct competition with the show he's temporarily co-hosted, not to mention his mate from school... oh, to be a fly on the wall when they had that "BTW, I be your rival now?" conversation.
Oh, and Rove's hosting that retrospective-of-2008 special on the American ABC next week? I want to go to there.
I was cleaning out the DVR yesterday and realised I still have the episode of The Dame Edna Treatment where she interviews Alec Baldwin and it's one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. The way that man cracks up in silent laughter sets me off every time. I just wish my DVR wasn't screwed so I could put it on YouTube.
(Wow, this might be the most boring post I've done all year. Sorry.)
