IT'S HERE!

I know you guys are probably sick to death of me talking about this film but I've been waiting for this for three years; Russell Crowe and Nicole were going to make Eucalyptus, but that fell through, and meanwhile Baz was going to direct an Alexander The Great movie until Oliver Stone brought out Alexander. So they decided to make this film together, until Russell Crowe dropped out and Hugh Jackman came along instead. And for ages it was only referred to as "The Untitled Baz Luhrmann Project" on IMDB.

Because my anticipation isn't about Hugh and Nicole so much as it is about Baz. I just adore him.

I'll say now that I hate how much hype there is about it (yes, the irony, because I've been gushing for ages); movies that have such exposure never meet the expectations of the audience. I also know that it's aimed at an overseas audience and that clichés will be abound. Hell, it's set in the outback - that's kind of a cliché in itself. But whatever, because it's Baz. And yes, I watched Strictly Ballroom yesterday in celebration, and might again today, and I'm listening to their version of Time After Time because it pwns the arse out of Cyndi Lauper's.

Pimping to all my 30 Rock peeps! The Internerds. Join the list (if you haven't already)! 55 people and growing. You know you want in.

I know I haven't mentioned it as much as, you know, other movies - but the 2:35 international trailer of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Lordy, that just sends shivers down my spine, it's so amazing. Watch it and see for yourself.

Hee, Tina's the second most popular guest that Americans want over for Thanksgiving after, yes indeed, Jennifer Aniston. Insert your "let's get this three-way on!" jokes here.

Who would've thought that Grey's would make me actually feel something again? For the past - God, I don't even know how long - I've watched it with such apathy and yet this episode just made me smile and that's kind of weird, right?

Grey's Anatomy, 5x09 "In The Midnight Hour"

1. I LOVE MARK SLOAN. SO EFFING MUCH. The way he talked to that kid and made her sleep against him was adorable. It kind of makes me think back to when Addie tells him, "You didn't want a family" and normally such drastic character changes make me a bit wary, but this is just too good AND I WILL SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS.

2. Alex and his sucking up to Bailey. Hee.

3. Denny. This storyline still shits me because WTF. IZZIE IS SLEEPING WITH A DEAD PERSON, HOW LOW CAN THIS SHOW GO? But at the same time it's JDM with his shirt off and the way he stands in doorways and tells her he'd still be there and now I'm confused because THIS STORYLINE IS RIDICULOUS AND I STILL HATE IZZIE. BUT IT'S DENNY AND I WANT HIM ON MY SCREEN.

4. Mark and Callie are really FTW. "I hate you." "You love me." I love it when he turns into a SNAG for her. Oh, and Bailey and Callie are also FTW. Can I just get another spin-off show where Mark, Callie, Bailey, Cristina and nice!Alex go someplace else and just be cool all the time? (Like, um, LA? They could work in Charlotte King's new practice! And Addison would be just downstairs! It would totally work!)

5. CRISTINA AND HUNT, OMG. I SHIP THEM SO HARD NOW. More than I did Burke and Cristina, which was one of those things that just gradually creeped up on my "like" list. THIS. THIS HIT ME. BAM.

6. I'm completely indifferent to Sadie. I don't think this is a particularly good thing, but it's preferable to hate. So I can put up with it, even though she being there is kind of useless.

7. Derek and Meredith - who I stopped shipping in season 1, so that was many moons ago - don't make me want to scratch my eyes out and soak them in acid for the first time in years. I think this is also a good thing, but whatever, because the first five points on this list are the things that are consuming me. And it's only because they're not being angsty and their scenes are kept minimal. This I can deal with.

8. Yes, what the interns did was insanely stupid. But why the fuck is no one berating the residents for not giving them the opportunity to learn? I don't get why Bailey or the Chief have gone, "Wait a minute, why is it that they have to cut themselves? WHY ARE YOU NOT TEACHING THEM?"

Oh, and if you haven't seen it already, this Cristina/Own picspam is incredibly beautiful.

Prison Break. I don't know if I can forgive this show. I was unspoiled, so I pretty much collapsed. Even though I knew it wasn't real, because it was only episode twelve. But just for a moment, just like in Sona on the boat, there was a sense of peace. And then snuffed out again. And it's like I'm the one betrayed. It's just hard.

eugis and coraphee have had birthdays! I love you girls, you always make me smile in ridiculous amounts - and I hope your days were wonderful. ♥

(Crapballs, this was a long entry. I'm sorry.)
