Posting; it's been over a week, almost two. It feels a bit foreign.
"I've always wanted to mate an English thorougbred with a bush brumby." "Just drive!" Haughty!goggled!Nicole is too great.
AND JUST KILL ME DEAD, PLZ. On a related note, Baz Luhrmann's gonna pick up where
"Where The Bloody Hell Are You" left off. Can I get a HELL YEAH?
Hee! There was a review for 30 Rock "Secrets & Lies" (which is on this week here) in the TV guide, and the critic wrote "Tina Fey and cast squeeze the sweetest juice from their mindgrapes", which would make sense to no one except those who already watch the show and know how great it is and have probably downloaded it anyway. But hey.
Just on Weeds for a tic: SANJAY. LUPITA. MARVIN. Oh man, it doesn't take much for me to be happy. (Except the end with Shane. That is just... off.)
Okay, so HBP. Yes, it's a good-looking trailer. But it still reaffirms my general dislike for the movies, because my head is always yelling, "NO. RIDDLE'S ORPHANAGE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THAT. DUMBLEDORE'S MEMORIES DON'T LOOK LIKE THAT EITHER." I know, it's selfish and narrow-minded of me, but the Harry Potter world is so detailed in my mind that I don't like to see a visual representation of it, y'know? That's the director's and set designer's and casting director's and visual effects supervisor's interpretation, but it's not mine. (And I'm not normally like this with any other book-film adaptation, it's just... unique, right?)
Had to love this week's Spicks & Specks and The Gruen Transfer - one hour of glorifying the New Zealand/Australian rivalry, woot! "We're reversed racists!" and "No more Whoppers, another reason to cut myself." FTW.
Note to self: don't let someone buy you your normal Bacardi-and-Coke only to have them use Bacardi 151 instead without you knowing. Um, whoops.
