Apologies for the emotional barrage yesterday. To be honest I'm not feeling much better, but sucking it up and moving on with it is what I do best. So here we go, eh?

I went out for a friend's 21st on Saturday and the coverband performed Be Faithful by Fatman Scoop. Seeing a couple of 20-something Aussie white guys perform it was hilarious, but they did a really good job. Their attention to detail in the musical arrangement was awesome.

'Cause smudged_sanity tagged me um, a while ago...

1. Take a picture of your bag
2. Now dump everything out and neatly adjust them, and take a picture (no matter how embarrassing)
3.Talk about the items inside. Detail
4. Tag 6 people. I don't tag as per usual, but feel free to steal.

(Oh, and you get to see the lovely creases of my bedsheet because I literally tipped my bag onto my bed.)

The only thing I've ever bought from FCUK and I adore it.

1. My fake!Louis Vuitton wallet, hee. From a market in New Zealand.

2. My mints. I eat a stupid amount of these. And the other brands aren't the same; I either want to chew them, or they're not minty enough, or they're too sweet... etc. So these are basically a godsend.

3. My house and car keys, plus my car registration tag, a paua stone keyring from New Zealand, a Daffodil Day keyring, a pink whistle keyring from Smiggle, and the Little Miss Sunshine keyring breton_frog got me! Yes, I love having a chunky bunch. ;)

4. Sunglasses. Fairly self-explanatory.

5. A pen. Wow. Interesting.

6. My watch which I forgot to take off before I left for dance last night.

7. A five-cent piece (our smallest currency) lurking in the bottom of my bag, like most annoying coins do.

8. My contact lenses case, which I normally don't carry around with me but I'd picked it up from the optometrist last week.

9. My work ID card to bleep me inside the school building. Blurred out because I don't particularly want my personal info lurking on the interweb, heh.

10. The little essentials: hair pins, lip gloss, lip balm and hand cream.

11. The origami I made at work this morning. A red star-shaped box (learnt it this week!), a yellow regular box (one of literally hundreds I've made), a blue balloon (which you can fill with water and throw at people depending on the paper you use) and a purple crane (which I've now mastered, hurrah) so I'm totally channelling the Scofield. I don't know why I took them home, actually.

My mobile would usually be in there but it's on my desk right now. ;)

This craze of Jokerising images (and then making icons out of them) is starting to freak me out a wee bit.

Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway on Rove this week, hee. [Video here]
Rove: And you get to kiss [in Get Smart].
Steve: [to audience] Yeah, so suck on that!
Anne: Oh, I did.

[re: Julia Gillard] "Whenever she talks I'm just like, 'Hey, it's the Queen of Narnia, but male.'" Good News Week FTW. Speaking of politics: make up your mind, K-Rudd. Either you like the "Where The Bloody Hell Are You?" ads or you don't. Kthx.

general life, tv: good news week, memes, people: rove
