(no subject)

I'm still feeling depressed - not only because of Prison Break but I really want to go and burn my university down. And my workplace down. (I have a lot of built up anger, as you can see.) So I wandered off into my happy place and created another list meme. Smile and nod, people. Smile and nod.

The topic is a bit random, yes, but I need temporary bouts of euphoria and movies tend to give me that.

This isn't necessarily a song the actors sing - it may be the use of song, or what happens with it. Um, so basically, anything that has a tune running in the background, right? Heh. My meme, I make up the rules!

And once again, only an extremely rough order 'cause I hate ordering.

Top Ten Movie Song Moments

10. Bend It Like Beckham
"Rali Gaddi" - Jess's finals match, her sister's wedding

The contrasts of emotion and colour using the same song is captivating.

9. Sister Act 2
"Joyful Joyful" - Deloris and the choir at the competition

The scene where the choir breaks tradition is so uplifting and makes you feel so damn good.

8. Save The Last Dance
"All Or Nothing" - Sara's audition dance

You can see her journey through her movements, and it's a unique combination of classical and hip hop.

7. Runaway Bride
"I Love You" - Ike and Maggie after they decide to get married.

Them doing ordinary little things and just being in each other's company. Leaves me wearing a huge grin on my face, what's not to love?

6. Miss Congeniality
"One In A Million" - The opening of the pagent finale.

Maybe a bit cheesy, but you can see that pivotal turning point where Gracie becomes a part of it. I find it empowering.

5. The Piano
"The Heart Asks For Pleasure First" - Ada playing the piano on the beach.

One of my favourite piano pieces ever. Beautifully haunting.

4. Strictly Ballroom
"The Paso Doble" - Scott and Fran dancing at the championships.

The scene is unforgettable - Baz Luhrmann really knows his theatrics.

3. Moulin Rouge
"Come What May" - Christian and Satine at the night of the theatre.

Okay, so I dare someone to watch it and not feel something.

2. The Lake House
"Wait For Me" - Kate's begging Alex to wait for her.

Possibly the best film composition I've heard. It gives me goosebumps.

1. The Sound of Music
"Edelweiss" - The Captain, Maria and the children at the Concert.

When the Captain's voice cracks, and Maria comes on stage to join in the singing. It gets me every time.

I also have all the tracks except for #9 and #4, so I can upload them if anyone wants something.

I'm still dwelling in the Emo!Michael Club though. *pricks herself with the badge pin* Oops.
