I have had it. HAD IT.
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is seriously beginning to piss me off.
We have been consistently receiving phone calls and emails telling us that we need to turn this or that in by this or that date. Well, finally, last week, we got our shit together and turned ALL of it in. So today, Tav's admissions advisor calls him and says "Your FAFSA income isn't matching up with your tax forms." So, she wants us to send in our W-2's now. (Which, I am slightly confused about, i don't really know why they need these things.) So, whatever, I come home and start trying to find all of our tax forms online so I can email them to her.
WELL. Tavis brings the mail in today. We have TWO letters from AIP. One is a confirmation of our payment of the enrollment fee.
The OTHER is a notification. It is a notification that Tavis' application has been withdrawn from consideration for Summer enrollment. Now, when I think summer, I think from June-August. Well, when AIP thinks summer, they think...August-October. So basically, Tavis was supposed to start in August and now he can't start until October.
First of all, WHY THE FUCK IS HIS ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR STILL MAKING US DO ALL OF THIS BULLSHIT IF SHE KNOWS HIS APPLICATION HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN?
Also, if he can't start until October, that means no G.I. bill until October, which means...NO INCOME UNTIL OCTOBER. Unless, I have a job, which hopefully I will.
I know we've been very lax on our deadlines with them, but you know what...We live on the other side of the country. It's hard to get a hold of someone in the office with a three hour time difference. Also, I'm in fucking school. I hardly have time to deal with this. And Tavis is trying to deal with getting discharged. And we are trying to move.
So, I wrote her a nice e-mail, basically trying to explain the situation, and kind of pathetically begging her to put his application back in.
Ugh. UGHHH! UGH!
Oh, and to top it off, I have to finish my stupid thesis draft tonight. I have a quarter of a page. I need two full ones. AWESOME.
