There are these things about free afternoons. Either you get a lot done or you don't get anything done at all. Today, fortunately, was one of the former days and I succeeded in writing the paper for my presentation in history. It's about the history of Congo, which is kind of bloody, but nevertheless. While doing this, I once again discovered how biased Wikipedia can be. They didn't mention exactly why the second Kongo War started and blamed it entirely on Rwanda and Uganda - but in fact, the congolese leader drove their troops out of the country, threw a rwandan counselor out of his office (the metaphorical, not the physical ;) ) and withdrew from an agreement that granted Uganda diamonds. No wonder they didn't like that. Well. Still maths to go, but that won't be that much of a problem. Then I'll have to go throuh my notes for the frakking German book again, because we'll write an exam tomorrow.
Apart from the fact, that we didn't even try to talk about the role biographies, we didn't exactly talk about the book at all. Yeah, I'm serious. We had to read it in 2 weeks (well, one for me, remember?) and then write those frakking biographies and what are we doing? We're getting presentations about the real life of the characters, Humboldt and Gauß, and their scientific achievements. Well, it was kind of interesting, but didn't really matter for the topic of the book and doesn't matter at all for our exam tomorrow. *grumble* So while we were first working till death and than did nothing, we'll be writing this exam about something we didn't ever talk about. Great, I tell you this. And now... I'll do maths. Far more satisfactory.
