Still alive part 1000
No news from me lately but everything is still fine. We are STILL doing the renovations and last week we finally had the workers here to do some things we may not be so good at ourselves. We've got a new inner roof in the living-room, one new wall and the floor has been checked so we can install the new parquet better. We are still far from the parquet part since the walls and the roof must be painted first but Christmas is still our mental deadline for this part of the renovation. The bedroom is now ready (except for the floor) and we have bought everything we need so I suppose there is still hope and money left after this is finished.
Only five weeks left at school before Christmas. I was on a sick leave for two days a few weeks back because of a flu but it's getting better. Slowly though.
We haven't done much of anything special lately. We haven't been anywhere during the weekends since they are the best time to do something here. In the evenings J is mostly a bit tired from work already and it's terribly dark! We do have a renovation lamp or whatever but it's not enough for painting etc. On Mondays I have tennis and on Thursdays we go to the Japanese course but those have been our only hobbies outside this house.
I'm waiting for more snow! There is some here but I guess you can't really ski yet. The ski tracks are only 50m from us. That's what we were looking for when we bought this house :) . I bought good skis two years ago and to be able and eager to use them I must live close to the tracks...
Next weekend I'll see a stand-up show with colleagues and the weekend after that it's J's Christmas party at work so he can do something fun for a change too ;) . Our party at work won't be until mid-December. Gee... I hate the stupid program-planning... I like to go to the ready party but the supposedly funny programs don't usually make me laugh at all... :/ .
Christmas plans are not ready yet. We might stay here or go to my parents'. It all depends on what my granny is going to do this year.
