(no subject)
J went back to "work" (civil service) today. He still has a bit over two months left and then he'll probably go back to the old job, if nothing happens before that.
I haven't bothered to count how many days/weeks I still have left of my holiday. It seems like last year I did it all the time, but holidays are much nicer when you stop thinking about its ending :) . Today I'll see some theater with two colleagues I haven't seen practically all summer. A friend couple is also coming for the weekend and the weekend after that it's crayfish party at a friend's cottage, so we still have a few holiday plans despite J's work. In August we'll go to a Suzanne Vega concert in Helsinki and might even visit J's grandmother's cottage this summer but are not sure yet. Berry picking is also my plan before this holiday is over, J's mom already said that I should only give her a call, she's ready to go with me any time :) .
My parents visited us and it was nice. We made some sushi and I think they liked it (they haven't ever tasted it before). It was easy to make and delicious at home too. Now I'm making moussaka but I had to stop for a while because the damn cheese grater is in the dish washer and I definitely need it :) .
The weather's been weird. I hope it's not only me saying this but it feels like this summer hasn't been as nice weather-wise as last year... It's been ok warm but at least here it's raining almost every day. Not all the time but too much :/ . There is one good thing about that though: the renovation in our house would have been much more horrible if the weather was hotter...
