The last day of holiday

Tomorrow I'll be back at school. The pupils won't be yet but we teachers have some sort of a planning day. I'd better keep my mouth shut when it comes to the point that we'll decide who'll be responsible for what this year (library, parents meetings and about 10 other things)...

It has been a lovely summer. 10 weeks of holiday is a perfect part of the job and getting paid for it is even better :) . I don't mind going back to work either, though. It's nice that the seasons change and it's nice to be active in a different way for a change too. And it's nice to see all the people there. I have hardly seen any of my colleagues during the summer, except for those I've set up a meeting with a few times. But I suppose it's often like this in summer, after all, we get to see each other quite enough during autumn/winter/spring :) .

We'll go to J's brother for the weekend. Have no special plans yet but will think of something. In two weeks we'll be in Germany already. We should really buy the wedding present soon, luckily we do have an idea of what to give them, We'd also better buy some smaller gifts because I know we'll visit the couple's parents' homes as well. And we know the girl's grandfather who'll be driving us around during the weekend. It's great to go although being at school for the three days I'm off would mean a lot less work than thinking about and giving all the instructions for my substitute.

No matter how long my holiday has been, I didn't wash the windows after all. That was my number one plan in spring but somehow I always found better things to do... But I really SHOULD wash at least one window, since a bloody bird decided not to keep it clean :/ ! There's a huge bird sh** on it, and it's the kitchen window.... :( . Instead, I've been a very active knitter during the past month :) . I'm knitting myself a sweat shirt which will be ready soon.
