This week

I'm so glad to have three days off again :) . At this time of the year you can see that the pupils want to have a holiday someday too... The teachers as well! I still have 145 tests to go through in the next few weeks. One sixth class have already done "everything" important this year and we made a deal that we'll do something else in the last few lessons. Like watch a film and do something about it. Any suggestions for a good film to watch with kids who are 13 years old...? This particular class is not very "childish" anymore (they are very clever actually!) but I definitely won't watch anything questionable with them either. The film must be allowed for at least 11 year-old.

On Monday I had a mud bath without wanting it... I was on my way to the tennis training and I walked there through the woods nearby. You can't actually walk there any other way or you have to walk on the same road where the cars are driving by. I knew it could be a bit wet there but the actual truth is that a river had shown up next to the tennis hall during the week... So much snow has melted from the forest that all the water just floated around there. Not that the city would have kept the parking lots or the other area there in good condition either... In fact, they've done nothing there in the 9 months the hall was finished. I saw some dry places in between and decided to continue going. Well, the dry-looking places weren't really dry and on my first step I was in the mud up to my ankles. At that point I knew I had to go home again and skip the training but I was soooo mad I called J and told what had happened. I just stood there for a while and after taking my next step I was already in the shit up to my thigh!!! I'm glad I got out of there alone but my anger just got worse... Luckily no-one saw me there. I had my new training shoes which I could clean up afterwards though. So no huge damage done to them. Brrr... so no tennis for this week.

I've been to the gym twice in a week which is good. Last Friday me, J, J's brother and brother's girlfriend went there together. The brother is studying to be a doctor and has all sorts of good advice how to train and what :) .

The first of May will be spent at home. We get visitors from Tampere tomorrow and they'll stay until Monday. The weather couldn't be better although this morning I noticed I must get good sunglasses soon. The bright weather with no sunglasses almost caused me a migraine. I have it VERY rarely, it tries (and usually just tries) to hit about once a year but that's enough too. J had to drive me to work (where I had to go today) because I was afraid of riding my bike. I could hardly see the text on the newspaper... Luckily it passed after becoming too serious.

All sorts of things to happen in the next weeks. Today we'll see the film "Capote", next Friday a few colleagues are coming here and the week after that we'll have a good-bye party of a teacher. The same weekend J has the bachelor party of a friend. The the wedding a week after that and then our trip to Tallinn :) . Nice nice.

Oh, nice news this week was also to get e-mail from a German friend I haven't heard anything of in almost 3 years :) .
