Christmas
I've given all the lessons this year. Today I also had to play
needlework teacher for two hours because the real teacher was sick. I
couldn't help the girls much with their bigger problems but at least I
could do something...
I'm off to home-home on Thursday. We still don't know if J comes with me on the same bus or on Friday. But he should decide it soon anyway. I've bought all the presents except for something small for my grandmother. She must be the hardest person ever to buy presents for. She's got everything she needs (by the age of 85) and she doesn't want anything. Well, she still reads quite much so I might try to find her some kind of a book.
Spent the Saturday evening at friends' place. The girl is actually my second cousin and I've known her all my life but we've always been friends too. And her boyfriend now works for the same company as J does (because J helped him to get the place) so they see each other every day :) . It was nice.
I'm also looking forward to Christmas although I haven't had too much time to think about it lately. I suppose the Christmas spirit rises on Thursday when I go home and mum has decorated the house a bit. I don't have anything here really, except for the candles because I usually don't want to see any Christmas decorations after Dec. 26th.... Next week is a short week again (good for J too) and we'll go to Tampere for the New Year's. We'll be there again on the 27th when J gets his Master of Science diploma. J's parents and brother and his girlfriend will also come to the university then (might be the last chance to visit dear TUT). We'll go eating afterwards and we might go to see a concert that evening in Tampere-hall. We'll stay at J's brother the first night and the second night at friends'. Or we might. They just have a (cute and silly) cat who usually disturbs my sleep a bit. Or he doesn't do anything until it's 5.30 am but it's a bit too early for me to wake up...
