It's nice to have a little money...
which we invested on a new nice and huge sofa and an Artek armchair yesterday... We will get them in 4-5 weeks.
We have bought terribly few furniture into our three homes (Ikea has always been too far away I think :) ). We needed a bed in the first one and I suppose we also bought a shelf during our first years (!) together. The rest have been old stuff from my parents, J's parents or anyone in general. We didn't even have a sofa for two years (just two matresses on the floor) until we got the 15 year old sofa from J's parents after they'd bought a new one. We still had it until we moved here but it looked so bad already we needed to get rid of it.
We are both working now and J has been for over a year with a decent pay but we have still somehow been consuming like poor students. I guess there's nothing wrong with it but we finally decided to get some new furniture :) .
I think I mentioned we got a wedding invitation for the Philippines a while ago. We think we must skip the wedding this time because J absolutely has no holiday during the winter (oh well, he would have but without a pay) and his other friend is in Japan, where we really would like to go next summer. He lives 1.5 hours away from Tokyo although I suppose it's still Tokyo suburban or something. We'll see...
