J has his bachelor party today and I'm home alone now. I knew about the party but he didn't and it was rather hard to keep him home at noon today before his friends came to pick him up. I have no idea what they are doing but I hope they bring him home alive tomorrow...
I went to the city after he'd left and thought I would spend the day alone but J's mom called me almost immediately and asked whether I would like to eat at their place today and go picking black currants with them. The farm was about 40 km from here and the currants were very cheap so of course I went. Besides, they paid for them again...
Now I came home and want to see men's long jump on TV. I would like to have wine as well but I'm not sure if I want to drink the whole bottle alone ;) . Why don't they have enough wine in smaller bottles?
Yesterday was my first day at work and I only met the teachers but the beginning was promising: most of the people seemed very friendly, talkative and helpful. There are also many young teachers but older ones as well, which might only be a good thing. My nearest colleague, the other language teacher (which I only met shortly in the interview) is also VERY nice and shares the same sort of ideas and principles about language teaching. Some part of the school itself will be renovated this year and they already had to have the classes in other schools in spring but now some of the classes (including languages and my classes or groups) can stay there already. But that's a long story which I won't share with you now...
