Depending on the telling, elves are magical, powerful, immortal, connected to nature, hyper-sensate, androgynous, black, pale, evil, spiritual, of a higher order … Almost always, they have exceptional grace or beauty, from the silver-haired dark elves of Menzoberranzan to the ethereal elves of Rivendell. But beauty isn’t everything sexy. We are now accepting submissions for a Circlet Press anthology of erotic elfin stories with an edge, featuring tested, tempered or deepened elves, all the more sexy for the hard choices they make. Do they trade immortality or break spiritual rules for love? Perhaps they face tension with their elfin world. Do they question a ban on human-elf sex? Do they wander beyond the Safety Zone in search of an exiled lover? Perhaps they face initiation or undergo a quest in order to awaken or consummate their passion. Do they deepen their sexual liaison with troll or banshee or vampire by overcoming cultural differences or physical incompatibilities? Basically if it’s sexy, treats elves with some depth and has lots of tension, we will look at it.
