I need to practice filling out a police report. Here it goes:
Friday afternoon my girlfriend(Erin) recieved a call from her mother(Kathleen) in which she stated that she wanted the car seat she bought for Sabastion(her four year old son) returned to her. This is her sort of revenge for losing her position as child care provider. She lost this position bacause she is heavily medicated, unreliable, manipulative, and generally a poor influence on the children. Erin then stated that she would return the car seat when we found a replacement. At 4:15 we went to Fred Meyer to buy a few things and go to Erin's bank. We were in the store for about 30 minutes. When we went out to the car we noticed that the car was unlocked and the safety seat was missing. In addition to the safety seat my discman, Erin's discman, and my bag containing nearly 100 cd's were also missing. After returning home and putting our groceries away we went to Kathleen's home to confront her about the missing items. She admitted to using a key to unlock the door and taking the safety seat. She claimed to know nothing about the other missing items. She did however make a statement that I found rather odd. She looked directly at me and said "It sucks to lose something you really care about, doesn't it?" She then attempted to change the subject. After that failed, she attempted to pull the kids out of the car. Erin immediately intervened, having no desire to drag her children into an emotionally charged dispute. A screaming match ensued in which I was accused of be abusive and manipulative, both of these claims are most certainly false. Erin then told Kathleen to stay away from her, the children, and our home. We drove away shortly thereafter.

I find it hard to believe that two separate parties would have illegaly entered our car, within half an hour, in a busy parking lot. I want my shit back or monetary compensation. We also intend to file a protection order against that crazy old hag. What a delightful fucking family.
