holy shit
I just found a homeless chihuahua on the street, no tag, nothing. Literally- starving, wee, scabbed, filthy. She's eaten all my chicken already. She is soooooooo adorable. I'm taking her to animal control tommorow, to see if she's missing or if her original owners are looking for her. I'm afraid something might be wrong with her because her little back is all hunched up- maybe she's pregnant? I would splurge on a vet just to see if she's okay. I'm a bit scared to drop her off at animal control because I don't want the little darling to be put to sleep, but then I did the research and apparently SPCA takes them in after animal control if animal control is unable to find their original homes. But if the owners don't take her in I would- even though I'm really in no position to take care of a little dog, I don't even think it's kosher with my landlord. Apparently there's no such thing as chihuahua rescue in SF either? I've hit the yellow pages and google and even made a few calls. Oh! She's asleep in my lap! Agh!
