Due to a recent hostile comment of the anonymous kind my journal is now "friends only." Though I appreciate discussion and different points of view, I don't enjoy hostility. I can't ignore that my words do sometimes echo out past the imaginary boundaries of my computer screen and may, at times, bounce back to haunt me. And I should live with that.

"Fascinating," really? That is news to me, but I will take it. Everyone has something to offer so don't understimte yourself. Your interests say you were an "accidental english major" which is perfection. I would love to friend you and read your journal as well.

oh yeah i didnt do well enough to go into science. ended up taking lit and loving it. and now im teaching it. and thanks for adding me.:)

posted the previous one too fast. i would like to add that im fascinated by the way you portray the mundane and the prosaic and make it so compelling.

::blushes:: Thanks. I didn't realize... well, I hoped, I always hope, but I didn't realize. :)

I understand about the science thing. If I was good at science I would have become an occupational therapist, but I'm mostly just good at reading,so english was my major. But I also have this undying love for language so I'm okay with my inadequecies in science.

I'm jealous of you and your job. Hopefully I'll be teaching english lit some time soon. American lit, to be exact. How long have you been teaching? What age group?
