Public Allies Arizona is a program of ASU Center of Nonprofit Leadership and Management. We offer young diverse leaders a great opportunity to work, learn, and serve the Arizona community!
Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program, is an intense apprenticeship designed to develop the next generation of civic leaders. The program consists of a full-time, ten month placement in a nonprofit organization.
During the course of their service, Allies receive a monthly stipend of $1,350; and are eligible for health insurance, child care, and interest-free loan deferment. Upon completion, each Ally receives a $4,725 post-service education award to pay off student loans or fund future education. Public Allies also provides its alumni with significant work experience, important and marketable skills, local connections and networking opportunities, and continued opportunities for support.
Program requirements are as follows:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident
Must be between the ages of 18 and 30
Must have a passion for community service
Willingness to be coached/mentored
Public Allies provides an opportunity for students to gain practical, working knowledge, serve their communities, and save money for college and higher educational expenses.
