So I'm re-watching "We need to talk about Kevin" and right after Sam tells Dean he hit a dog, Dean exclaims,"Hey, the rules are simple, Sam. You don't take a joint from a guy named Don and there's no dogs in the car."

And then Amelia's husband ends up being named Don. Was that foreshadowing of Sam's past year being all an acid trip or just random weird?
