So did anyone brave the sales today?
uit
I got up @ 3:45 and went shopping. First I went to Kohls- I picked up a couple of shirts for Natalie and a set of sheets for her (we're going to get her a regular bed sometime between January and her birthday- LOL- I want to put her in a regular bed BUT I dont want her wandering or getting up to come in our bed at night plus I dont want her to get up & walk around in the morning...but at the same time, I'd like for her to have a regular bed...) and I looked at the toys but didnt see anything. Then I saw a luggage set.
I didnt plan to buy luggage, but while I was in line I kept thinking about it & decided to get it. It was a 7 piece set for $60!
J is going on a trip in January for work, then we go to Memphis in Feb, and then vacation in the summer, and then we're REALLY going to try to take a vacation to Washington DC for our 5th anniversary...and we usually take another couple of small weekend trips during the year too. We have some luggage, but it doesnt match and we never can fit everything in one, so we end up with a ton of bags, and UGH...I decided at that price, I was getting the set.
It has a 30", 26" and 20" rolling suitcase, a rolling duffle bag, a regular duffle bag, a tote bag and a travel kit. I kind of wish it had one of those hanging bags you put things like shirts or a suit in, but we DO have one of those in really good condition and barely use it.
Anyway, this set was originally over $200, so I am very excited to have gotten it. I was not planning on luggage @ all but it was such a good price. In fact, when I showed it to my mom this morning, she had me go get HER a set of them too, for my dad. He got a new job and travels a lot and paid $100 for just ONE rolling suitcase that was 28". So they are going to return that one and he'll use some of this set for his job.
Oh, and I also got some new towels too =) Now I can throw away some of our pretty ratty towels, I've been waiting for a good price on them. They were $2.50 each! I tried to get some of the $1.50 each towels @ Walmart but they sold out QUICK.
Anyway, since they didnt have those @ Walmart, and since the electronics section was a clusterfuck, all I got @ Walmart was 6 pairs of PJ's for the kids. I got the kids Christmas jammies and a couple of extra pairs for the older boys. I wanted to get this Ben10 DS game but like I said, electronics was insane, no way was I waiting in that line. Plus Amazon has it for the same price. And they were sold out of those towels. The PJ's were at such a good price I waited in line for those but it was *almost* not worth it.
I also went to TRU which I said I would not do, but I was sort of out of places to shop and there were a few items I wanted there. I'm glad I went- I got the SW Clone Wars Learning Laptop (the boys are SO into SW right now so they'll love it) and I got a Lite Brite (anyone have one? I used to like it when I was a kid but I'm not sure if my kids will really like it...I may return it, we'll see) and I didnt know it, but they had their store brand cases of diapers on sale for $10! I grabbed the only one I saw in Jack's size but I sort of considered going back to get a couple of cases even if I could only get them in a bigger size. I dont think I am going though, it just took too long to get out of there...I'm glad I got at least one case though...it has more diapers than 2 regular packs and for only $10!
I went to Target but I didnt buy anything, the lines were too crazy.
I also went to Big Lots to look for something for my mom...I saw they had the FP musical tea set there, I was considering getting it for Natalie, but I dont know...
I'm a few more presents closer to being done Christmas shopping!!
