Today, I went for a general drive about the place (through Unthank and Sedbergham, if you must know) and then on to Penrith to peek at bluetooth headsets to complement my shiny new Nokia 6500 Classic.
So, I found one, fitted the bracket after much frustration with Peugeot's inability to create a car with flat, blank spaces on the dashboard, buckled up, turned the key. Nothing. Well, not nothing; specifically, there was "chuggachuggachuggavrrrrrrrrrpoit". Hrm. Try again. Same problem. Leave handbrake off, nearly roll into Aldi (a supermarket), reapply handbrake, try ignition again, "vrrrrrrchuggachuggachugspoit". Scratch head, pick up phone, phone dad, witness father's ignorance about all things motorial, hang up, pretend it's all a dream, stare at steering wheel, decide to phone people who sold the car, wait for them in the cold for half an hour, replace battery, joy, home, cry a little.
How was your day?
