(no subject)
Well, I have to postpone my imminent bedtime for long enough to tell you about the amazing thing that happened yesterday. Basically I'd spent all day dossing around pretending to work, and in the evening Fo was going to come round, about 7 to do some more dossing around and watch videos. At about 7.15 Fo rang to say she was stuck in hideous traffic. At 8 she was still not here and I was just about to text her when there was a ring at the doorbell. When I opened the door, instead of one Fo, a massive group of my friends shouted "SURPRISE!" and started singing at me! It was amazing, I've never been so overwhelmed by anything. Fo and Co. had planned it and invited everyone, and my parents were in on it as well.
They brought incredible amounts of food and alcohol, and also many many wonderful presents. The ensuing party lasted from 8 until - well, I didn't go to sleep until 7 the next morning, and then only for twenty minutes, which I suppose explains why I collapsed for three hours this afternoon. We drank wine and vodka. Matt and Ben consumed 24 bottles of beer between them. We danced to the Macarena. Finn went to pizza express and flirted with the waitress, and got lots of free pizza for his troubles. We also ate cake. We drew on Ben, and I garlic buttered him. Things disintegrated. We may have played spin the bottle. This may have been a mistake. (The less said, the better).
Basically, it was really incredible, and I had a great time, and I just want to say a massive thank you to: Fo, Fi, Finn, Lucy, Carleen, Margot, Suet, Bruno, Ben, Jessi, Matt, Harriet, Andy and John, and of course to my beloved parents for letting us make a lot of mess (which we did clear up) and a lot of noise.
I'll put the rest up tomorrow. I just really need to sleep now!
